The mailman brought me another new book!

What a wonderful and inspiring book! Inspired Cable Knits by Fiona Ellis is my "must have" book of the year. Not only are the sweaters drop-dead gorgeous, but her philosophy of design is what I've been trying to do for years! I love to take pictures of rocks, shells, trees - anything that has color and/or texture. I've used these in my weaving design and in color work for spinning. Now this authoress has given me some ideas of how to use my pictures for knitting inspiration. WOW! At the back of the book she shows a pillow made of wavy cables and crossed colors. Her inspiration: a picture of the wave marks on a beach!
