My granddaughters are visiting ...

... and I remembered that I had a box with a book and origami papers. They've spent the past hour or so trying to figure out how to do this. A bit of brain stretching never hurts! But what it made me think about was a thread on Norah Gaughan's blog (beginning November 27, 2007) where she was explaining how to knit a dodecahedron. If she could do that, why can't I knit some of the shapes from the origami book? Now I don't claim to have Norah's talent - not in a thousand years - but one of the new books I just received is all about knitting in 3D. Knitting New Scarves by Lynne Barr. Stay tuned!
